Rule 1
- Offensive Language

  • Effective date: 27th February 2008
You must not use any language that could be considered offensive, racist, obscene or otherwise inappropriate. This includes swearing.
If you suffer serious abuse such as receiving racist remarks, harassment or obscene and vulgar language, please report them to us using the in-game Report Abuse button which can be found in the chat interface of all our multiplayer games.

comments: this is perhaps the most important and also the most violated rule. it has a basis in legal ethics where a lawyer is obliged to refrain from the use of 'abrassive language' in any degree..

the game simplifies it thru a 'report abuse' button and tracks the public/private chat of the user..by way of evidence.

any form of provocation when countered has no effect whatsoever despite the mitigating factor...the best thing to do is have the offending party in the 'ignore list' filter..

lots kids ranging from 7-12 yr. olds...they can be very rude..but not all.

it would be pretty good to have an online virtual court where players may be summoned and asked to answer for a charge..but thats just wishful thinking..

Rule 13 - Personal Details

  • Effective date: 27th February 2008
  • For our players' privacy and safety, you must not ask for personal details such as full name, email address, instant messenger handles, telephone number or your home/school address or age. You also must not post anyone's personal contact details (including your own) on our in-game chat or forums.

comment: the next rule i consider more important is the 'privacy' provision. though it's basic among human beings to be curious and to want to know something about a fellow player... the sharing/procurement of personal information is not recommended and prohibited.

its hard to develop real friendships without any idea as to who really is the person behind a friend's avatar(reminds me of the cloak-and-dagger culture we have)..this game is about killing monsters and also fellow players...there could be a build-up of animosity. information may be mis-used for another's advantage.

some players try to be smart by trying to secure information in a subtle manner..what i do is give false information(ask no questions and you will be told no lies..haha).. or better yet.. warn them or say somethin like " don't you know i could have you reported?"... it's being firm without getting unfriendly..
